Beam on the Beach

It’s dark. You take a seat on the expansive beach of Terschelling, with the backdrop of the rolling sea. Suddenly, a powerful beam of light pierces the darkness. In this light, the eight dancers from Ivgi&Greben draw closer, both physically and emotionally. How close will they get? How much space do you feel for newcomers?

This expressive dance performance focuses on crossing boundaries and explores how we feel about people who cross them. The dancers embody newcomers. Does it feel thrilling, suffocating, as they draw closer? The impressive setting, sitting on a grandstand on the beach in the darkness, allows you to immerse yourself fully in the dilemma you feel. Or not, of course.
