After successful adaptations of the literary classics ILIAS and The Master and Margarita, KONVOOI ventures into their latest music theatre production with the dystopian 1970s novel High-Rise by J.G. Ballard. Prepare yourself for a musical, absurd, and unsettling vision of humanity trying to save itself, against its better judgment.
The somewhat odd mathematician Alice moves into an apartment on the twenty-fifth floor of a modern apartment building. Everything she needs is there, and everything is comfortable – for a while. From the moment Alice moves into her apartment, the building, and the relationships between the residents, begin to crack. No one seems willing to intervene. While Alice tries to get a grip on the deteriorating tower, the other residents adapt. Or disappear. High-Rise is an absurd, unsettling, and musical portrait of humanity in free fall.
