Something unique is happening this year in het Eikenbosje: for the first time, humans are allowed to attend the annual gathering of the oaks. Through songs, spoken word and storytelling, Nynke Laverman and sound artist Sytze Pruiksma bring the trees’ story to life in a musical landscape. With OAK, Nynke continues the journey she began with her earlier performance Plant. In a world beyond time, she gently and playfully holds up a mirror to our Western worldview. With expansive songs that unfold like sonic landscapes, she and Sytze tune into the surroundings and the moment — leaving plenty of space for soloing birds.
