The Price Of Bricks

The Price of Bricks explores the physical and emotional price of rebuilding after destruction. This project explores, through a live performance starring a pile of bricks, how bricks can serve as both barriers and building blocks. A collaboration of Ahmad Mallah and Rebecca Lillich // Krüger.

In Task 1, the duo will sit down and build a wall of their bodies: both an expression of self-determination and building a cage as they become part of what holds them. The wall will be both a barrier and a canvas – symbolic of boundaries, limitations and the structures we build to protect ourselves, but also a place for resilience and transformation.
