Info
You sit in a circle with a lifeless body in the middle. Then the body starts moving, almost imperceptibly at first, then more and more violently, until it comes stumbling towards you, gurgling. Brace yourself: this zombie stubbornly longs for life and forces you to rethink what life and death really mean.
What does this zombie reveal about ourselves, what questions do those empty eyes raise? This pop-up performance at various locations on Terschelling adds an extra layer to the disgust we feel with horror. Because this zombie points to a part of ourselves we’d rather not dwell on for too long. At the same time, it reminds us of the common thread that connects all beings: the desire to live.
