Carte Blanche is the place to be whoever you want to be. Make a mask and strike a pose in the photobooth! Our identities are often shaped by the world around us — but are you brave enough to step outside your own? The workshops are for both children and adults. At the festival hub, de Deining, you can also admire a collective artwork made from masks created by the children of Terschelling.
In the mask-making workshop, Carte Blanche gives you complete freedom to shape a new identity of your own. Using a variety of materials — often recycled fabrics and textures — you’ll create your own unique mask. Everyone who joins is given, quite literally, ‘carte blanche’: anything goes. In this workshop, there’s no judgement — we’re all equal here.
Carte Blanche can be visited daily from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the festival hub De Deining.
