Oerol is one of Europe’s largest site-specific arts festivals, attracting around 50,000 visitors annually.
For over 40 years, we’ve been creating a unique experience at the intersection of culture, adventure, and nature right in the midst of the stunning landscape of the Wadden Sea island of Terschelling. For ten days straight, from early morning until midnight, the festival features theatre, performances, storytelling, spoken word, visual arts, and music at various locations.

We encourage everyone to apply, whether you’re a fan of experimental location theatre or simply enjoy standing with your feet in the sand (rather than with your paws in the clay). It doesn’t matter to us. The most important thing is that you bring a fresh perspective. Whatever background you have, your unique perspective can be invaluable to our team.
