Privacy statement

Stichting Terschellings Oerol Festival is a foundation established in (8891 GH) Midsland on Zuid Midslandweg 4. We are registered at the Chamber of Commerce under number 41005122. We are responsible for the handling of your personal data.

Here is an overview of the personal data we process, why we do this, on which legal basis we do this and how long the data is stored.

As a visitor of the festival your name, place of residence, date of birth, email address and payment details are processed. If you purchase a ticket with CJP discount your card number is registered too.

For a purchase of merchandise your name, shipping address, email address and size are registered. We store the details of your order up to 7 years after your last purchase in the administration of tax authorities (the Belastingdienst).

For invoices and financial administration, we register your name, as contact, email, address, payment info and outstanding balance. Your payment cannot be processed without this data. Tax authorities oblige us to save this info for 7 years. After this period, we will anonymise your data.

Complaints about our service can be emailed to helpdesk@oerol.nl. We will need your name, email, phone number, (order number optional) and the nature of the complaint to provide a suitable solution. This data is used for an optimal execution of the agreement. We will delete data concerning complaints 1 year after handling them.

We process your name and email for direct marketing. We will delete this data when you unsubscribe from our newsletter or when you indicate to not want to stay in contact. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of each newsletter.

Analytics and retargeting services are used to enable and optimise the website. We have a commercial interest in your online activity and use the provided data to analyse and improve our service. We will track your use of our website with Google Analytics and Meta Pixel and honor their retention periods.

This service uses cookies, small pieces of information that are sent to your browser when visiting our website. The information is stored in the internal memory of your device. These cookies will not damage your devices.

We process a password for your personal account and store it in encrypted form in combination with your email address. We do this to prevent security fraud. In addition, the data that you enter yourself, your payment details, order history and any messages are stored as well. This account information is stored until you indicate that you want to delete your account.

Previously mentioned data is provided by you as a client, contact or website visitor. Your information might also become available when someone else buys a ticket for you.

We try our best to ensure that no data from or about minors is collected without parental consent. If you are sure that we have personal information on minors without consent, please contact us: helpdesk@oerol.nl.

The General Data Protection Regulation has given you a number of rights regarding the personal data that you have processed in our system.

1. Insight – You can request an insight in your data at all times.
2. Change – After insight, you can request to change, correct, add, protect or delete your information. You can also change some personal information in your account.
3. Objection – You can object the process of your personal information based on a weighing of interests.
4. Data transfer – If you want to store your data with a different provider, we will provide your data in a structured form accessible to common digital systems.
5. Withdrawal – If we have processed data based on your explicit consent, you gave the right to withdrawal this info. This can have consequences for the service we provide you.

Send a request for access to your data, complete with a copy of your ID (with shielded ID number and photo) to helpdesk@oerol.nl. We shall look at your request as soon as possible, but at the latest within 30 days. In the case of rejection, we will explain the decision.

We will not share your personal information with third parties, unless this is absolutely necessary for business operations or necessary for a legal reason. Your data can be passed on to processors and parties involved in our agreement for its execution. We conclude processing agreements with these third parties to optimally protect your privacy. We will not sell your data to third parties.

If we process your data outside the EER we will take measures (of security).
