One guitarist, one drummer. Two young men, two friends. These are Lange Mannen Met Haast. A unique band that mixes poetic Dutch-language indie pop with cabaret. Everyday themes are sometimes addressed intimately, sometimes manically. Indomitable energy, interaction with the audience and a bucket of sincerity form a show that really takes your breath away.
Friends Joost and Joek first found each other years ago on neighbouring island Vlieland, where their music took shape among the tents of campsite Stortemelk. With tracks from their debut album Als je goed luistert, hoor je muziek and their EP Kleine Schilderijtjes, Lange Mannen Met Haast made their way across a wide range of stages — from living rooms and back gardens to celebrated festivals like Noorderzon, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Hongerige Wolf, Museumnacht and FestiValderAa. This year, they make the crossing and wash up on the shores of Terschelling.
