Roi Soleil (Sun King) makes danceable electropop about (self-)love, golden feasts and sexuality. Yes, he is made of gold, but he is here to tell you that everyone is. On his baroque wings, he will light up his audience.
Roi Soleil performs a 30-minute show at Oerol, full of sunshine and celebration. The Sun King is the superhero version of Matthijs: a boy from a small town with childhood traumas that he tries to solve by putting a golden crown made of tie-wraps on his head. Musically, he is inspired by acts such as Oscar and the Wolf, Mika, Yelle, Stromae and Troye Sivan.
