In Uncanny Valley, the world has transformed into a strange, deserted valley where all public spaces have vanished and everyone retreats to their private sanctuaries. In search of connection, a woman creates a beautiful public garden. She aims to meet, garden, connect, and let nature take its course. Yet, no one stops by. But then her idyllic setting is disrupted by a visitor with an unusual sound.
Uncanny Valley is a music theater production by Liedhuis about embracing the strange and reconciling power of nature. What do you do when your own beliefs are challenged by a strange sound? Filled with musical clashes, improvisations, and heartwarming compositions from Monteverdi and contemporaries, performed by a unique musical ensemble consisting of a soprano, lute, and saxophone.
