As an accredited Oerol professional, you have early access to ticketed performances and the option to purchase a professionals festival wristband, which grants you access to both general festival areas and exclusive professional events. Below is everything you need to know about purchasing your wristband, booking tickets, and making the most of your Oerol experience.
Professionals festival wristband
The professionals festival wristband offers the same access as a regular festival wristband, with added benefits for professionals. With this wristband, you can:
- Enter the festival hub and enjoy Oerol’s visual arts programme
- Attend ticketed performances (additional tickets required)
- Join the professionals programme, including networking events, discussions, and exclusive activities
Pricing
- Standard rate: The professionals festival wristband costs the same as a regular festival wristband
- Jopie rate: If you are under 35, you qualify for the same reduced rate as younger general attendees
There are no additional discounts on performance tickets for professionals.
How to purchase your wristband
Once your accreditation has been approved, you can purchase your professionals festival wristband.
- Log in to your MyOerol account
- Navigate to the ticket shop and select the professionals festival wristband
- Complete your purchase following the on-screen instructions
If you have already purchased a regular festival wristband but would like to switch to a professionals wristband, contact helpdesk@oerol.nl to have your e-ticket converted.
Ticket sales and presale periods
Accredited professionals have early access to ticket sales, allowing you to secure tickets to performances before general ticket sales open.

Who are the Friends of Oerol?
The Friends of Oerol (Oerol Vrienden) are supporters who contribute annually to the festival. As a thank-you, they receive early access to ticket sales and exclusive updates. Their presale begins after the professionals presale but before general ticket sales.
How to book tickets in the professionals presale
To take advantage of the professionals presale:
- Log in to your MyOerol account
- Access the ticket shop during the presale period
- Select your preferred performances and proceed to checkout
Tickets for popular performances sell out quickly, so we recommend making your selections promptly when the presale opens. All ticket purchases are subject to availability.
Ticket limit: During the professionals presale, you can purchase up to two tickets per performance. This ensures that as many professionals as possible have access to performances before general ticket sales begin.
Exclusive ticket availability for professionals
Even after general tickets have sold out, a special allocation of tickets is reserved exclusively for accredited professionals.
- Log in to your MyOerol account to access these reserved tickets
- Check availability for your desired performances—if tickets are still available for professionals, you will be able to purchase them
- These tickets are subject to availability and are not guaranteed, so booking early is recommended
- The limit of two tickets per performance still applies.
This exclusive allocation allows you greater flexibility in planning your festival schedule.
What happens if a performance is sold out?
If a performance appears sold out during general ticket sales, it is still worth checking the professionals ticket allocation. You must be logged into your MyOerol account to see if professional tickets are available.
All tickets, including those in the professionals contingent, are subject to availability. If a performance is fully booked, you may want to check back later, as additional tickets can sometimes become available.
