Bad weather and cancellation of performances

Due to bad weather conditions and/or the location, Oerol may decide to cancel the program. Such decisions will be discussed with the company in advance. Oerol encourages the search for alternative performance possibilities within the festival period.

The following applies to a company that is performing at its own location and is forced to stop a performance due to bad weather conditions that pose a risk to players and/or the audience:

Always consult your Oerol production coordinator first. If you cannot get in touch with that person, call the Oerol emergency number 0562 202 100. The Oerol organization will ensure that all the right parties (including the box office, publicity staff and volunteers) are informed. Someone from the Oerol organization will also come to the location to support you.

Address the audience with the following texts:

Dear people, at this time it is not responsible to continue playing the show due to [fill in]. Because the show has just [or: not yet] started, Oerol offers you to exchange your ticket, if available, for another day for the same show. If there are no more tickets, or another time does not suit you, you will get your money back. On behalf of the Oerol organization, thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.
