In 2026, we’re taking a slightly different approach. In previous years, there was a central backstage catering at the Westerkeyn; this year, we’re letting that go. But don’t worry: we will still make sure you can eat well, enjoy good food and remain flexible throughout the festival.
From Friday 12 June to Sunday 21 June, you can head to the central festival hub, where you’ll find a range of caterers offering a varied selection — from quick bites to full evening meals. Prior to the festival, you can request one or several payment cards with an agreed credit amount. You can use this card to pay directly at the participating caterers; your spending will later be included in the final settlement. As soon as the full overview of caterers is confirmed, we will share it on this page.
Prefer not to eat in the middle of the festival bustle? With your artist wristband, you will always have access to the backstage crew tent: a quiet place to sit, unwind and enjoy your meal. In addition, you can go to Stayokay in West-Terschelling every day for a full crew meal. Prefer takeaway? That’s possible too.
At the end of April, we will contact you to ask whether and how you would like to make use of these catering options. Good to know: you can plan this flexibly. Through this inventory, you can indicate where you would like to eat and choose on a day-by-day basis. One evening at the festival hub, another at Stayokay, or you arrange your own catering.
Please note: Oerol does not provide central breakfast or lunch catering, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed.

Drinks for artists, volunteers and employees
Before the festival there will be drinks for all artists, volunteers and employees to celebrate the start of Oerol!
