We proudly present the campaign image for Oerol 2026! An edition to look forward to, as this year we celebrate 45 years of Oerol.
The image was created by our designer Vàlerie Valk, who builds on the visual line of previous years. During the design process, she wrote the text below, which served as the starting point for the final image.
It’s not about reaching a single destination, but about what unfolds as you move across the island. Along shell paths, through the dunes, past forest edges and the Wadden Sea. You encounter one another along the way—sometimes intentionally, sometimes by chance.
You move with the island: with the wind pushing you forward, the sand giving way beneath your feet, the sound that rises from the landscape and fades again. You are not just a spectator, but part of what is happening.
Connection emerges in brief moments, when an inner world briefly spills outward. Not everyone sees, hears, or experiences the same story. But we are there at the same time. We move alongside one another across the same island, each following our own route.
