Today, between 3,000 and 4,000 Oerol visitors, theatre-makers and islanders formed an impressive red line on Terschelling’s beach.
In solidarity with the Red Line protest in The Hague, participants stood in a long line facing the sea. Oerol host Teddy Tops and Jaline Wijkhuizen of Médecins Sans Frontières addressed the crowd. Poet, writer and theatre-maker Joost Oomen finally recited a poem. The poem can be read after in the daily newspaper tomorrow (16 June).
