New this year is the Strandtheater, a wooden amphitheatre in a unique spot: right on the beach of West aan Zee, where dunes and sea meet. Here, artists and creators bring you wonder, new insights and conversations that linger.
You may remember the structure as the place where Collectief Walden played their performance, NAU 1e jaring, in 2024 at Loodsenplak. This year, it is simply called the Strandtheater – and that is exactly what it is: an open stage in the sand, where you sit close to the artists and are swept up in a stream of stories, music and theatre. Experience a performance like you rarely see: in the middle of an arena, surrounded by energy and audience, with the performers at the heart of the play. You can walk from the festival heart to the Strandtheater in just a few minutes, so come through after a swinging performance and be amazed in this theatre. Wiggle your toes in the sand, look out over the sea and be touched by what emerges on stage.

You will find the Strandtheater behind the beach crossing at West aan Zee, a few minutes walking from festival heart De Deining.
Access
For performances at the Strandtheater, you need an Oerol wristband and a ticket.
Accessibility
The Strandtheater can be reached from the cycling spot, via a road of 150 metres of loose sand.
