Festival Hub de Deining

Music, food, talks, performances, and storytelling

Oerol has one festival hub: de Deining. Located on and near the North Sea beach, it is the beating heart and central meeting place of the festival. From live music acts to storytelling and talks, street theatre, and dancing on the beach.

Opening hours for de Deining

De Deining consists of the Valley (the parking lot) and the Beach (the beach).
The Valley: Saturday, June 8 to Sunday, June 16: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
The Beach: Saturday, June 8 to Sunday, June 16: 4:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Music is, as always, an important element in the Oerol Festival program. From northern talents to international sounds, the festival is a haven for musical experiments and discoveries. With your festival wristband, you can visit the festival hub in the afternoons and evenings for energetic hip-hop inspiration from Typhoon (lobi!), Bumble B. Boy as ‘the most confusing festival sensation in the Netherlands’, Library Card with frantic post-punk and spoken word and uninhibited indie rock, Willy Organ with extremely danceable melancholy, Guy Corneille as the frontman of crowd favorite De Dansers, and S10 as the crown princess of Dutch alt-pop.

De Deining concludes each day with a beach party hosted by different DJs, with the sunset as the main event!
