The members of Khana Bierbood found each other around 2012 in their love for Western psychedelic music from the ’60s and ’70s. In the Thai beach district of Bangsaen, the college friends discovered similarities between their own sound and the Thai funk, luk tung and molam of that era. It resulted in a mix of Thai pop, authentic fuzz and eastern frequencies.
The latest album still retains the band’s original charm, but shifts to an even groovier sound. A sound that pays homage to their passion for the past and their desire for a new cultural renaissance.
