Inside Out, Signal and Tilt are part of Prikkel: sensory experiences that play with perception. For the first time, these three installations can be experienced together – in an intimate setting, on location in the Terschelling landscape.
Boukje Schweigman (Schweigman&) and Johannes Bellinkx have each been creating groundbreaking performances and installations for years, exploring the boundaries of sensory perception. With Inside Out, Signal and Tilt, they now join forces in a series of intimate experiences that directly engage your senses and the surrounding environment.
Inside Out
This immersive installation offers a unique opportunity to experience your body in a new way. Guided by live singing, you put on a suit over your clothes. What follows is a poetic and musical deep-pressure experience that activates proprioception: the internal sense that informs us about muscle tension, posture, and the boundaries of our own bodies.
Signal
Where does tangible reality end and imagination begin? Signal plays with the eyes and the act of seeing. Step into this miniature cinema – are you witnessing reality, or a creation of the boundless world shaped by your own mind and vision?
Tilt
The sun rises and sets, right? In truth, it’s we who move in relation to the sun. In the immersive performance Tilt, your body shifts in relation to the landscape. Surrender your weight to a gently tilting plank, feel gravity flow through you, and let your perspective begin to tilt.
