What do a greasy snack, a manhole, and the art of letting go have in common? Dive into the invisible world beneath our feet with Project PUT! Theatre makers and researchers Mariken van Geel and Femke Ravensbergen delve into the system beneath our streets to uncover what’s happening underground—and how it connects us. An absurd and physical performance-in-the-making about blockage and release, about responsibility and interconnectedness, about what stirs beneath the surface of both our bodies and our society.
Over the past year, together with three experts and 75 children from Friesland, they dove into the world of the sewer. During Oerol, the audience is invited to take a peek into their creative process and witness a theatrical proof of concept. With your responses and insights, they’ll continue developing the performance, which will premiere next year at outdoor theatre festivals across the country.
