Info
Raaklijn is a long-term project focused on the ever-shifting boundary between Oerol’s festival grounds and the surrounding protected nature reserve. Each year, Rita Hoofwijk invites a different artist to make this invisible border tangible. This year, the dance company Tumbleweed will travel daily by foot from East to West, performing a choreography at six locations on the edge of the festival.
Want to experience Tumbleweed? Their journey along the Raaklijn begins at 10:45 AM on the beach near Paal 18 and ends at Loodsenplak at 6:15 PM. You can find the other locations and times here. Click on the location and scroll down to see the exact time.
Each location has a bench from which the Raaklijn is always visible — and the performers can be spotted once a day. Due to limited capacity and the delicate nature of the final Raaklijn location, you can reserve a (free) spot for Loodsenplak.

Raaklijn is part of the Werkplaats. Within the Werkplaats programme, new and established makers — often in collaboration with partners — are given the space to develop site-specific work throughout the year. During the festival, several of these artists-in-residence explicitly invite you, the audience, to become part of their work-in-progress.
