For those not ready to to call it a night, Oerol now goes Late! Head to Strandrestaurant West aan Zee and celebrate the night with RADIO MANUELA. Feel young, sexy, and famous, throw your arms in the air, and dance!
On June 18, 1984, during a fierce storm, the ship of the then-popular illegal radio station RADIO MANUELA sank off the coast of Terschelling. During a beachcombing session, OSOSONIC found the compact radio transmitter and decided to take it home. As a tribute to the crew and to the magical broadcasts that made RADIO MANUELA the soundtrack of summers on Terschelling, he decided to create a special broadcast every year on that date. In this broadcast, he plays once again the warm, swinging sounds of the legendary radio station. With his transmitter, he traveled the world, hosting the most intimate, surprising parties at the most unexpected locations. This year, he will do so at Oerol Laat.
Due to the salty seawater, the transmitter no longer works as it once did. It now only broadcasts on 109.9 FM — a frequency that can no longer be received on any regular radio. But OSOSONIC firmly believes: all the love you send into the air will, somehow, be heard and felt.
