Help and contribute to a plastic-free Wadden area. As part of the programme Wad Gaat Om, the Jutfabriek and the Waddenvereniging are organising a clean-up action in cooperation with Oerol. During this action, you will learn more about the plastic problem and what you can do to tackle it.
The Wadden region is struggling with a persistent plastic problem. We need good cooperation in all places to solve this problem, which is why the Wad Gaat Om programme was created. With support from the Waddenvereniging, plastic pollution is tackled from source to beach. For instance, alternatives to plastic are being developed and laws and regulations are being examined. We also roll up our sleeves on the beach to clean up the waste lying there. Here we need your help. And what happens to this rubbish? The Jutfabriek knows what to do with it!
