During the festival, photographers and videographers working on behalf of Oerol will document the event. They will photograph (almost) all performances. These photos are shared with the press and used on our own channels. All low-resolution photos are made available free of charge (e.g., for social media use, with proper credits). If you are interested in high-resolution photos for your own use, our selected photographers offer these at an additional fee. Let us know before June 1st if you would like to use this service, so we can account for it in our planning.
For video coverage, you can contact Terschelling TV via info@terschelling.tv or Convoi film jurien@convoifilms.nl.
Drone filming is prohibited during the breeding season on Terschelling. Oerol has obtained special permission for our certified drone pilot, Jelte Keur. He works in close collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer, safety services, and the municipality. If you have specific drone filming requests, please coordinate with us via publiciteit@oerol.nl. We may be able to include your needs in Jelte’s schedule.
We will promote each programme component in the following ways:
- We will include the performance, act, or Expedition in our programme overview on oerol.nl.
- A selection of programme elements will be featured in our newsletters for professionals, Friends of Oerol, and the general public.
- We will post news updates on our website about the programming.
- We will share posts on our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We post updates on our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Do you have a fun idea or would you like to collaborate on social media? Get in touch with Geert Jan Schipper at publiciteit@oerol.nl.
- Information about performances will be included in the timetable and on our interactive map.
- We will print and distribute cycling maps, which will be available during the festival.
- A selection of the programme will be featured in the Oerol Daily Newspaper, with text, images, and video. During the festival, the Oerol Daily Newspaper tells the story of the programme through text, images and video, together with the artists. If you would like to use the Daily Newspaper as an extension of your work, please get in touch via publiciteit@oerol.nl.
We greatly appreciate it if you can also share content about your participation in the Oerol Festival. Use the hashtag #Oerol25 and tag us in your post. Hearts and shares from us are guaranteed! <3
During the Oerol Festival, accredited press members can reserve press passes. We will inform you if members of the press, photographers, or camera crews express interest in attending one of your performances. Feel free to invite journalists yourself as well. If they indicate they wish to attend your performance, please direct them to us. Contact Miska Aksular via pers@oerol.nl, and we will arrange a press pass for them.
The attending press at Oerol reviews almost all performances that are premiering at the festival. Please let us know by May 1st the date and time of your performance’s premiere by emailing pers@oerol.nl.
We would appreciate receiving a maximum of 10 A2 posters at our office on Terschelling. We will then distribute them throughout the festival hub and other locations on the island. Please send your posters to:

On Terschelling, there is a strict ban on the distribution of flyers, which is actively enforced by the municipality with fines. It is also prohibited to distribute items such as saddle covers, booklets, or other (plastic packaging) materials that could potentially be left behind in nature. This policy aligns with our Ecological Compass, the permits granted, and our commitment to preserving nature and reducing our environmental footprint.
It is permitted to sell your own merchandise on a small scale (out of a box) at your own location after a performance or project, provided that the items are free of plastic packaging and suitable for sustainable use. Please also consider the environmental impact of the products in terms of production and transport (where and how), or use products with a reliable certification (see chapters 7, 8 and 14 of this document). After the sales moment, the box must be closed and properly tidied away, as must the surrounding area.
If your programme component is at De Deining, you are permitted to sell your items (during and up to half an hour after the act) at Oerol’s merchandise stand at De Deining. Contact lotte.fokkens@oerol.nl for scheduling and details.
For specific requests regarding the decoration of your performance location, please contact the production coordinator assigned to your performance.
