Over the next three years, we are joining forces to work towards an inclusive (site-specific) performance during Oerol 2027 – created by theatre makers with and without disabilities.
Professional Meeting on 16 June 2025
During Oerol 2025, we are hosting a gathering for creators, funders, policymakers, and experts by experience. Under the guidance of moderator Eva Eikhout, we will explore the conditions for equal collaboration in the arts, with space for artistic ownership.

- Barbera Wolfensberger – Director-General for Culture and Media, Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW)

- Maartje Bonarius – Artistic Director of Tall Tales Company
- Ayşegül Karaca – Theatre maker and curator of the Oerol programme for blind and visually impaired audiences
- Fabian Pikula – Head of Production House at Toneelschuur Producties / Creative Access Lab
- Minke Scheltema – Leisure Programme Manager at Bartiméus Fonds
- Sabine Pater – Artistic Director of Oerol Festival
During this meeting, we will also announce the Open Call for makers who want to work on an inclusive performance.

At NTF Pro – the national conference for theatre professionals – we will continue the conversation and officially launch the Open Call. Makers will have the opportunity to work in residence on a new inclusive performance.
