With a festival wristband
With this you have unlimited access to the festival hub, de Deining. Straddling the dunes by the North Sea beach, this is the vibrant heart and central meeting point of the festival, featuring live music acts, storytelling, talks, street theater, and dancing on the beach. Annually, there are also about ten Expeditions (visual art installations) that you can explore at your own pace during the day with a festival wristband.
For every festival wristband sold, Oerol donates € 0,50 to Staatsbosbeheer on Terschelling for the construction of a children’s playground at the Natuurschuur in Lies. Read more.

Does it leave you wanting more? During Oerol, you can enjoy a wide range of site-specific performances, including dance, theater, mime, music, and contemporary circus, by showing your festival wristband and a ticket for the specific performance. Free access
Check out free-of-charge street theatre in the villages of Terschelling and at various other locations spread across the island. Also, visit De Streken, the landscape artwork by Marc van Vliet.
Of course, these activities also incur costs, but because we believe it’s important that everyone has the opportunity to participate, we offer these experiences free of charge. If you’d like to support our activities, donations are always welcome.

Are you 35 years or younger? Then we’ll now call you a Jopie! Our inspiration? Our founding father Joop Mulder, who started Oerol before in his twenties and once expressed the legendary words ‘If you’re not scared of your dreams, they’re not big enough.’ It started small with street theatre on the pavement outside his café in Midsland but grew into what it is now: the largest site-specific arts festival in Europe.

**Day pass
If you’re planning to attend Oerol Festival for only one or two days, you can also purchase a day pass. You buy a ticket online for a day pass without a date. During the festival, exchange the ticket for a day pass for the desired day at one of the service points.
