With this, you can enjoy unlimited access to festival hub De Deining throughout the festival. Located near the North Sea beach, this is the beating heart and central meeting place of the festival, featuring live music acts, spoken word, talks, street theatre and dancing on the beach. Each year there are also around ten visual art installations that you can visit during the day at your own pace on presentation of a festival wristband. If you want to attend a performance, you will also need a festival wristband on your wrist and a valid ticket for the performance scanned.

Are you a Jopie?

Are you 35 or younger? Then we call you a Jopie! The inspiration? Our founder Joop Mulder, who started Oerol before he turned 30 and once famously said: “If you’re not afraid of your dreams, they’re not big enough.” It began with street theatre on the pavement outside his café in Midsland and grew into what it is today: Europe’s largest performing arts festival.

Buying a Jopie festival wristband is easy and comes with a great discount. A festival wristband then costs €40.00. All you need to do is add your date of birth to your Mijn Oerol account, buy a Jopie festival wristband, and voilà! You’re now part of the club that opens the door to all sorts of great perks, discounts, tips and activities. Your age will be checked when you collect your festival wristband on Terschelling.

Please note: you can purchase a maximum of 1 Jopie festival wristband per person/account.

Day wristband
Only coming to Oerol Festival for one or two days? Then buy a day wristband! Online, you can purchase a ticket for a day wristband without selecting a specific date. During the festival, you can exchange your ticket for a day wristband at one of the service points. A day wristband costs €30.00. Day wristbands will be available from 7 May at 14:00.

Of course, activities such as street theatre cost money, but because we believe everyone should have the chance to take part, we offer them as freely accessible. If you’d like to support our activities, donations are always welcome.
