Share a slice of Oerol!

We strive for an inclusive and accessible festival, where everyone feels welcome, with special attention to those who may not inherently have the opportunity to participate.

To ensure that Oerol remains accessible to people with smaller budgets, we collaborate with Quiet. We offer fully catered packages for couples living in poverty. These packages are intended to provide the couples with the opportunity to get away for a weekend and enjoy everything that Oerol and Terschelling have to offer, without worrying about finances. It’s our way of offering them a well-deserved break, a chance to enjoy art, culture, and the beautiful surroundings of our festival together.

It was an exciting adventure and an unforgettable time at Oerol, a time that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.'

Additionally, we collaborate with DEGASTEN, who create theater with young people aged between 13 and 31 in hyperdiverse, composite groups. They don’t just talk about diversity and inclusion; it’s been ingrained in their DNA since day one. This shows in their stories, approach, team, and the young people, audience, and partners they collaborate closely with, including Oerol. Together, we’re organizing a special all-inclusive study trip for these young people to experience outdoor theatre. It’s more than just a trip; it’s a chance to explore, connect, and inspire each other.

At Oerol, we are determined to break down barriers to participation in our festival and create opportunities for everyone. We believe that art and culture are powerful means of connecting and strengthening, and we remain committed to sharing these values with as many people as possible.
