Building A Dance

De Dansers invite you to step into their world of movement and music – quite literally. Dance along to a choreography that unfolds in the moment, guided by choreographer Josephine van Rheenen and De Dansers’ live band. Experience firsthand how De Dansers rehearse and create: intuitively, spontaneously, and deeply connected to live music. No dance experience required!

Building a Dance is a dance improvisation in which De Dansers invite you to step into their world of movement and music with your own body and imagination. Choreographer Josephine van Rheenen creates a warm and playful atmosphere through gentle movement exercises, where everyone is welcome and you move in your own way to the music of De Dansers’ band (known from, among others, Hush, Hold Your Horses and Shake Shake Shake). You don’t have to do anything ‘right’. You won’t be put in the spotlight. You are guided gently and can discover for yourself what dance can be for you. Whether you move a little or a lot, feel shy or not at all: your presence is part of the magic.
