Info
Ten performers come together in an exhilarating march towards the future, inspired by the sense of inevitability evoked by Ravel’s Bolero. With the subtly overwhelming dance of De Dansers, the anarchistic singing voices of Club Gewalt, and their shared belief in music, the boundaries between individuals disappear. After all, the individual is dead. Long live the collective!
DEEP/END is an exercise in interdependence. Humanity is heading towards a black hole called the future. How do we prepare for the unknown? The Dancers and Club Gewalt team up to offer an alternative vision: let’s reject the idea that dependence is a weakness and instead embrace the idea of relying on each other. Let’s explore and reimagine the ground rules of dependency. And dedicate our voices and bodies to the bigger picture. We don’t know what the future holds, but one thing is certain: if we have to jump into the deep end, we will do it together.
