How long has it been since we were carried? Compagnie XY shines a light on the human need to be nurtured and supported. Every day, the circus collective engages in an artistic process at a new location, for and with a new audience. With the ambition to reinvent the universal act of carrying.
Compagnie XY is one of France’s most acclaimed circus companies. The collective of 18 acrobats explores the relationship between artistic practices and public space. To do so, they venture beyond the confines of the theater to discover how acrobatics can transform familiar public places. In Les Voyages, their aim is to cradle someone’s weight in their arms and take them on a deeply moving journey through their own memories.
