Let your walls crumble and feel a natural high that you wish could last forever. Spiral is a performance in which you, as the spectator, participate in the collective journey of six dancers. This production by Anne Suurendonk (danstheater AYA) is propelled by the music of composer and producer Tom van Wee.
Being yourself, losing yourself, finding yourself again. The feeling of being completely detached from the world together is hard to find in everyday life. Spiral goes in search of exactly that. The dancers undergo emotional and physical transformations, breaking free from old patterns, losing themselves, reinventing themselves, and celebrating life and humanity. Gasping for breath, they move to pulsating beats—a powerful physical experience that constantly shifts between the personal and the collective in a world adrift.
