Info
An energetic dance performance about taking up space, discovering boundaries, and trust. What does space actually mean? Can space belong to someone? Which boundaries must you guard, which should you push, and when does a boundary blur or even get crossed? FRAME makes it tangible how we can challenge each other, keep one another in balance, and how much we need each other in a polarizing society.
Two people within a confined frame probe each other’s presence. Through detailed movements, they come to know one another’s perspective. Approach and resistance alternate. What at first seems playful and innocent develops into increasing friction and roughness. There is throwing, pulling, and hanging. The dancers pull you into a turbulent relationship where the significance of space leads to intense tension. In an increasingly individualistic society, FRAME demonstrates how together is better than alone.
