When you’ve been creating New Year’s Eve shows for at least 35 years, June feels rather early to start looking back. Recapitulating. Dissecting. Writing things off. Spiraling out and starting over. But when you are the keunstner-yn-residinsje (artist-in-residence) at Oerol, everything changes. And so, Dolf Jansen brings his HalfJaarsConference exclusively and repeatedly to Terschelling.
Dolf Jansen will perform his HalfJaarsConference 2026 at least thirteen times at Oerol, spread across the entire island. In the afternoon and evening, indoors and outdoors, in forests, dune slacks, and barns, or as a guest on an existing stage.
Political madness. Nature conservation. Humanity. Completely unnecessary new products. Poetry. Improvisation. No two performances will be the same; each show will touch upon everything happening in the world, but certainly also upon Oerol adventures, encounters on Terschelling, the specific location of the performance, and the Big Questions that may be posed to the audience.
