Janos en de Walvis

Wie Walvis tells the story of Janos, a boy who comes face to face with a whale taken from its sea by a circus troupe. Janos decides to return the animal home. A theatrical concert for all ages, featuring enchanting music and acrobatics, about feeling displaced, longing, and the power of stories.

Janos en de Walvis (Janos and the Whale) is inspired by the mysterious film Werckmeister Harmonies by Béla Tarr. The sounds of the double bass, accordion, banjo, and angel-like singing singing sweeps you along on this gripping story. Because if all is lost, aren’t stories all we have?
