JUNO is the new art project from queer collective Supernature. It is an ode to Terschelling native Juno Dijkshoorn: trans woman, underground nightlife icon, and for over ten years, the personal and professional partner in crime of Thijs Weijland.
In times when the visibility and safety of trans people are under pressure worldwide, telling these stories is not a luxury, but a necessity. JUNO is both an artistic project and a social statement. It is about archiving, about love, about friendship, about nightlife as a safe haven – and about the right to be seen. Not later. Now.
