Info
Over seven years ago, the enormous container ship MSC Zoë lost part of its cargo in the Wadden Sea — one of the biggest environmental disasters in Dutch history. Thousands of kilos of plastic washed ashore, including mountains of My Little Ponies. For Anne Fehres and Luke Conroy of Nullshima Studio, this became the starting point for My Little Tragedy, winner of the Symbio Art Prize 2026 and part of the Visual Arts Route.
On Thursday 18 June at 4:30 pm, moderator Helen Kranstauber will speak with the makers about this work, their artistic vision, and creative process. A local island beachcomber will join the conversation to discuss the lasting impact of the disaster, as well as how we ourselves can take action.
