Info
After a container ship spill in the Wadden Sea, a plastic pony washes onto the beach of Terschelling. Eroded and covered in sand, it shares an intimate revelation. Soon a rhythm spreads through the room as the pony begins looking for voices to join in.
In this interactive video installation, the pony’s revelation grows into a public celebration of plastic. Asking the audience to join in, the pony begins building a chorus about the material that surrounds us all. Voices slowly gather as the rhythm spreads through the room. Plastic moves through oceans, homes and bodies with surprising success. The pony calls this progress. Should we admire the achievement, or question the world that made it possible?
Visual arts can be visited daily from Saturday 13 June between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
