Info
Join artist Ali Pretty for a reflective coastal walk featuring a series of hand-painted silk flags from the ongoing project Mountains of Hope, a global invitation to walk in solidarity with communities living along the Lebanon Mountain Trail. This session uses walking as an artistic tool to engage professionals in a deeper conversation with each other and the landscape.
How can art respond to place and community, and how does the act of walking open up possibilities for transcending borders? During this journey, participants are invited to carry a flag and engage with five guiding questions that explore themes of identity, belonging, and artistic freedom. The walk concludes with a shared moment of reflection and dialogue within the Terschelling landscape.
This experience will be held in English, but a “bring-your-own-language” approach applies: there are always others attending who can assist with translation if necessary. To participate, you need an entry ticket, which can only be reserved when logged in as an Oerol Professional. To take part you will need both your Oerol Professionals or ‘Wij Maken Oerol’ festival wristband and your ticket.
