You walk into the unknown with your eyes closed. You don’t know where you’re headed, but you keep walking. With every step, the world around you fades further away. Until all you have to hold onto is a hand. How do you surrender to what you cannot see?
Passing on is a journey to the edge of life. Together with someone you don’t know, you explore the no-man’s-land we enter when we die. You move between control and surrender, between holding on and letting go.
It is an intimate encounter with death, in the other and in yourself. A consoling experience in which life is passed from hand to hand. Become part of a chain of people who will never see one another, yet carry each other through.
Passing On is an audio experience that can be enjoyed in both Dutch and English.

A 40-minute walk over loose sand (beach) and uneven natural terrain with changes in elevation is part of this performance..
