The year 2026 marks an anniversary for the artist Remy van Kesteren, but to him it feels above all like a starting point. After 30 years of harp, 20 years on stage and 10 years of his own work, the question is no longer where he comes from, but where he is going. In the Bostheater, you will hear the beginning of an answer.
After ten years, Van Kesteren wants to forge his own path and no longer choose between the worlds he knows. He wants to bring them together. From his debut album Tomorrow Eyes in 2016 to his most recent collaborative project Leave What You Know in 2025, Remy’s work moves between pop, electronica, alternative music, classical and avant-garde, driven by his boundless curiosity, enthusiasm and imagination. In his world as a maker, Remy draws inspiration from Glenn Gould and Jimi Hendrix: artists who did not follow their instrument but reinvented it, and in doing so spoke a language of their own that needed no category.
