Like popping candy on your tongue; that is what the rock ’n’ roll of Tchotchke feels like. Classic, with a sugar coating. Sweet on the outside, but full of surprises once you truly take it in. Since 2021, this all-female trio has been winning over audiences with their Todd Rundgren-influenced sound and virtuosic vocal harmonies.
Anastasia Sanchez (vocals, drums) and Eva Chambers (bass, keys, vocals) first met in 2014 in a high school locker room mirror in L.A., both busy trimming their fringes. A close musical friendship quickly blossomed, rooted in a shared love for everything from vintage dolls to the Beach Boys. A handful of joint bands followed over the years, until fellow musician Emily Tooraen (guitar, vocals) entered their universe and everything finally clicked. Tchotchke was born.
