Tranceschelling returns to the summery, melodic Balearic trance sound of the late 90s and early 00s, an era when electronic dance music was still crafted with synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. It harkens back to a time before smartphones existed; when people didn’t stare at DJs, but simply danced.
Tranceschelling originally began as a themed night at the former Oerol location De Braskoer and was revitalized last year. The love for this music never faded, and after a try-out atDe Stoep during Oerol 2025, Tranceschelling is once again letting summery, melodic trance sounds drift across Terschelling this year. We are heading back to a time when it was all about the music rather than the DJs—a time of dancing and partying, before mobile phones had found their way onto the dance floor. Tranceschelling tailors its sound to the atmosphere of the moment and doesn’t rule out excursions into other genres.
