The Frequency Club brings their hybrid live band and DJ performance to Oerol. Using percussion instruments like theskratjie, congas, and talking drum in combination with live sampling, they let African and Caribbean rhythms collide raw on stage. Afrobeat, Afrohouse, deep basslines, and new music—Rotterdam’s most boundless music collective, live and unfiltered.

The Frequency Club is a band rooted in Rotterdam, drawing inspiration from the entire African continent and the Caribbean diaspora. In truth, it is more than a band—it is a cultural catalyst. Their music moves through underground and diaspora genres: fuji, azonto, gqom, amapiano, 3-step, afrohouse, and soulful house, interwoven with electronic club textures and uplifting vocals. Three artists, sixty minutes, one immersive party. At Oerol, the collective combines live instrumentation with DJ skills into a meticulously crafted live set, blurring the line between concert and dance floor. Bold, deeply rhythmic, and impossible to stand still to.
