How to apply for accreditation as an Oerol professional?

Professionals accreditation for the past edition is now closed. The next edition of the festival will take place from 11 to 20 June 2027.

Want to be the first to know when accreditation opens and stay informed about the 2027 professionals programme? Make sure you’re signed up for the Professionals Newsletter and keep an eye on the Oerol Professionals page for updates.

How it works

An Oerol professionals accreditation gives you access to exclusive networking opportunities, curated talks, and early access to ticket sales via the professionals presale.

In the spring of 2027, you will be able to easily apply for your accreditation here once again. Here is how the process works:

Step 1: check your eligibility

Oerol professionals accreditation is intended for people working in the cultural sector. You may be eligible if you are:

  • An artist or maker working in performing arts, site-specific or interdisciplinary contexts
  • A programmer or curator selecting or supporting artistic projects
  • A producer, managing director or festival organiser involved in realising artistic work
  • A researcher or academic working on topics such as public space, site-specific art or audience engagement
  • A funder or policymaker supporting cultural organisations or projects

Not sure if you’re eligible? Email us at professionals@oerol.nl — we’re happy to advise.

Step 2: submit the online form

When accreditation opens, you’ll be able to apply via the online form. We’ll ask for:

  • Your contact details (name, email, phone)
  • Your professional background (organisation, role, short description)
  • Your Oerol history (first-time or returning visitor)
  • Your professionals profile, including a short bio, what you’re looking for, and contact preferences
  • Your festival dates (arrival and departure)

You can choose to make your profile visible to other accredited professionals — a great way to connect ahead of the festival.

Step 3: wait for approval (up to 2 weeks)

Once you’ve submitted your form, we’ll review your information and check whether you meet the accreditation criteria.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email of your submission
  • Accreditation requests are processed within two weeks
  • If approved, you’ll receive confirmation and next steps

Still waiting after two weeks? Email us at professionals@oerol.nl.

Step 4: buy your professionals wristband

Once your accreditation is confirmed, you can purchase your professionals wristband via your MyOerol account.

This wristband:

  • Gives access to all regular festival locations (festival heart, visual art, ticketed performances)
  • Includes access to the professionals programme (networking moments, in-depth sessions and more)
  • Costs the same as a regular wristband, with a reduced rate for professionals under 35

Already purchased a regular wristband? Email helpdesk@oerol.nl to have your ticket converted.

Step 5: prepare for the presale and the professionals programme

Professionals presale

  • Accredited professionals get early access to ticketed performances
  • Log in to your MyOerol account to take part
  • Tickets sell out quickly — mark your calendar!

International professionals programme

  • Plenary sessions, artist presentations, networking opportunities
  • Limited capacity — early accreditation recommended
  • Programme details will follow in spring 2027

Step 6: see you on Terschelling!

Once your accreditation is confirmed and your wristband is sorted, you’re good to go. We look forward to seeing you on Terschelling in June 2027.
