Oerol Professionals x NAPK | Networking breakfast – Audiences and engagement

A networking breakfast for NAPK members and Oerol Professionals, exploring how artists and organisations connect with, build and involve their audiences.

Sign up for the NAPK networking breakfast on audiences and engagement on Monday 16 June during Oerol. Over a simple breakfast, we’ll discuss how artists and organisations build lasting relationships with audiences — from long-term local engagement to new ways of reaching out and inviting people in.

This session is organised in collaboration with the NAPK (Dutch Performing Arts Association) and is open to both NAPK members and other Oerol Professionals. It takes place at the Oerol Professionals Hub (Maritiem Instituut Willem Barentsz, West-Terschelling). Breakfast is included.

NAPK members will receive priority. If you’re not a member but are an accredited Oerol Professional, you’re very welcome too. Not yet accredited? You can apply via oerol.nl/en/oerol-professionals.

What to expect

We’ll hear from three makers and organisations, each approaching audience engagement in their own way:

  • Greg Notrott (Het NUT) on building a long-term relationship with the Oerol audience in the lead-up to De Kapitalisten (2025)
  • Nikla Katsburg (Schweigman&) on her role as audience outreach officer in the collaborative project Prikkel
  • Martha van Meegen (URLAND) on how they engage audiences in their home city of Rotterdam

The session will be held in Dutch. International guests are welcome — and you’re sure to find friendly colleagues who can help translate the highlights if needed.
