All volunteers will receive a staff wristband, which grants access to the Festival Heart, the art projects, and backstage areas. You can collect your staff wristband at the volunteer desk at the Oerol office in Midsland (see “Day of Arrival”).
Access with your festival wristband applies to:
- The Festival Heart
- Several visual art projects
- Theater performances (in combination with a ticket purchased in advance)
It is important that you wear this wristband at all times, as it also serves as your meal ticket!
Oerol programming can be accessed using a festival wristband, a ticket, or via free entry.
- Festival wristband: Acces to the Festival Heart and a selection of the Expeditions
- Ticket + Festival wristband: Required for theater performances and a selection of the Expeditions.
- Free entry: A number of Expeditions and programming in the village centers.
Please note: for performances, you need both a festival wristband and a ticket.
Buying Tickets
Ticket sales for volunteers take place online. Log in to the website using your ‘Mijn Oerol’ account (or create one). You can do this by clicking ‘Mijn Oerol’ in the top right corner of the screen. Ensure you log in with the email address you used for your volunteer registration.
You can order tickets for the performances you wish to see starting Wednesday, June 10, at 14:00. If you are registered, any applicable discount is automatically linked to your account and will be calculated during checkout. This applies to performances that are not yet sold out.
Want to buy a ticket for a sold-out performance? These can also be purchased online starting two days in advance from 13:00. For example: on Friday, you can secure your ticket for Sunday.
If you have trouble buying tickets online, you are always welcome at a service point (located in West-Terschelling and Midsland).
Buying tickets for multiple people at once
Your ‘Mijn Oerol’ account contains a personalized code. You can find your unique code under the ‘Subscriptions’ (Abonnementen) section of your account. You can give this code to the person ordering the tickets. Instructions on how they can then purchase tickets can be found on this page. The explanation on that page is for ‘Friends’ sales, but the same rules apply to volunteers.
