During Oerol, the bicycle is the most commonly used mode of transportation on Terschelling. The island boasts numerous bike rental shops offering bikes of all types and sizes, from electric bikes to cargo bikes or tandems.
Prefer to bring your own bike? That’s certainly an option too. However, please note that there are rules for bringing bikes on Arriva and NS trains and buses. Bikes are not allowed on the fast ferries but can be taken on the regular ferry service. View the rates of Rederij Doeksen here.
