What is a poem? Do all poets live in drafty attic rooms? And what should you write when you find your beloved more beautiful than the moon? In a special, shortened version of his performance Alle dichters hebben gouden helikopters (the mini-edition), Joost Oomen explains how poetry works.
Joost Oomen explores the poetic feeling that can strike you when you accidentally send an ant in the mail. Or the emotion that overwhelms you when you discover the stars in the circus tent are made of holes. In a performance filled with stories about the greatest poets (from Vondel to Campert to Jonker) and featuring Oomen’s own poems, he makes poetry accessible to everyone. You can bet he’ll inspire you to start reading poetry.
