Dienst Analoge Communicatie

At the post office of the Analogue Communication Service, handwritten mail can be both sent and received. Together with postmaster and artist Maaike Ebbinge, schoolchildren from Terschelling designed the postcards. Come and experience the magic of ‘real’ post! And celebrate analogue connection.

A handwritten message is a rarity in today’s digital ‘swipe’ world. The Analogue Communication Service (D.A.C.) offers space for connection, slowing down and wonder at Oerol. Through post! Here’s how it works: choose a postcard, write a message by hand, add the recipient’s name, and post the card in one of the special D.A.C. letterboxes. The post is collected and sorted at the D.A.C. office. To receive mail, simply visit the post office and ask if there is any post for… (state your name).

Visual arts can be visited daily from Saturday 13 June between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
